How to change the drive letter in Windows 10
To make a change in the drive letter in Windows 10 you must follow the below steps.
- Right click on my computer / This Pc / or in your PC Name
- Click on Manage
After that, a separate pop screen will be open where you find a three-option called system tools, storage and services and applications. Click on the storage option and you will see a sub-option called Disk Management. Click on Disk Management and you will find a tab where you get your all partitioned hard disk. Apart from that, you will get how much space you have on your hard disk.

To change the drive letter in Windows 10 or in Windows 11 you will right-click on the partitioned hard disk. You may note that your active hard disk will be indicated as online. Right click on desire drive to change disk letter. Click on change drive letter and paths. After clicking on the change drive letter and paths you will get a pop-up screen where you find an option to change the letter. To change the drive letter Windows 10 or in Windows 11 click on the change option in the pop-up window and select a new drive letter that you want to assign. Then click on ok to fully assign. Now your drive letter changed now.

How to allocate an unallocated hard drive
Sometimes when you format your computer or laptop you may notice that one of the partitioned drives is not showing on my computer. At that time you follow the above steps and assign the unallocated drive by following the above steps. When a drive is unallocated that means this drive has not assigned a drive letter. Users may follow the above steps by right-clicking on an unallocated drive. After assigning a drive letter with an unallocated drive, now your drive will be allocated and displayed on my computer.
