OLA Electric Scooter Delivery Date Postpones Again | OLA Scooter Deliveries Slated To Mid-December Amid Global Chip Shortage

OLA electric Scooter is the most hyped electric scooter in India. Lots of people eagerly waiting for OLA S1 and OLA S1 Pro electric scooters after depositing advance booking fees. But the sad truth is this EV company postponed delivery dates again with a new kind of excuse. Earlier OLA also postpones the test drive date from October to November. OLA postpones the delivery time again?
As per the statement of the company, they are currently facing a shortage of chipsets and electronic parts. As you know both of the OLA scooters have an in-built Snapdragon processor, Storage, and RAM for smooth battery and sensor management. Recently the company emailed to every customer who has booked their scooters by paying advanced money worth Rs 20499/-. The company wrote in the mail about the delay. The mail says, “This is an important update regarding the delivery of your Ola S1 scooter. Due to the ongoing global shortage of chipsets and electronic parts, there are some unavoidable delays to your Ola S1 delivery. Your revised delivery window is 15th-31st December. We apologise for this delay and assure you that we are ramping up production as fast as we can so that you can get your Ola S1 at the earliest.”. OLA Scooter test ride impression
Global Chip Shortage has affected many automobile and gadgets manufacturers for many months now. Last week of November company invite pre-booked customers and reviewers for test rides in selected cities. But as per customers’ feedback, they are not found several features like hill hold, voice-activated commands, remote unlocking through an app on a phone, playing music through the speakers, and visual moods. OLA Scooter Delivery date
After the company announcement of the Electric scooter in august 2021, they Postponed delivery time twice. This is not the first time that the delivery of the electric scooters has been delayed by Ola. As per the company’s promises earlier, they will start test drive from mid-October and home deliveries should start from November. The new delivery dates are 15th December to 31st December 2021.
But, instead of that OLA started test drives in November for the customers who had paid Rs 20,499 as a booking amount in selected cities. OLA Electric has extended final payment for the S1 and S1 Pro e-scooters until next month after encountering customers dissatisfaction and anger online over a lack of clarity on booking, delivery, and test rides of its newly-launched electric scooters.
