Simple Energy is an India-based EV start-up, this EV company finally launched its new electric scooter, the Simple One. The Simple energy company claims that it is India’s first premium affordable electric vehicle. It is a completely Made in India EV scooter, claimed by the company. Simple One specifications:

Simple One specifications are mostly similar to the OLA S1 Pro e-Scooter but some extra add-on features make it better. This electric scooter has equipped with all LED lighting, a 7-inch TFT display with touchscreen functions, and its under-seat storage capacity is 30 liter.

 

A rider can control Music, accept or reject calls, increase and decrease the brightness of the display, set dark mode features, and Customize the display screen colour through its 7-inch TFT touch display.  The notable features of this e-scooter are it supports OTA updates, geofencing, monitoring the tyre pressure, track your vehicle, and can store documents in its internal memory.

With the help of a simple one app, its rider can remotely access this e-vehicle, remote locking feature, ride statistics, GPS, and other high-end features. This application will be available in both iOS & Android.

Simple One Suspension, Body, And Brakes

The Simple one e scooter has a tubular underbone chassis, on the front side, it has a telescopic fork, and a mono-shock on the rear side. It has two 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped up with tubeless tyres. The scooter has a 200mm disc brake in front and a 190mm disc brake at the rear with the standard combined braking system (CBS). The weight of this e-scooter is 110kg

Simple One Battery, Charging 

This e-scooter has two lithium-ion battery options one battery is fixed with the scooter and one 7kg battery pack is removable. The total capacity of both the battery is 4.8 kWh, and the company claimed range of this Simple One e-scooter is 236 km. the Top speed of this e Scooter is 105 Km/h which is the best in class.

Its fixed battery takes 2.75 hours to charge 80 percent while its removable battery takes 75 minutes to charge 80 percent. It supports fast charging as well as normal 15 Amp home charging. Simple energy will set up its charging stations (Loop network) in every city.

Simple One Powertrain

The Simple One is provided a 7kW motor which is produced 72Nm torque. This e-scooter can reach 0 to 40 kmph in 2.95 seconds. Its acceleration is better than OLA S1 Pro.

Simple One Price, Booking, Availability

Simple energy company started pan India booking for its e-Scooter.  Buyers can pre-order Simple One e scooter by paying Rs.1947.00 as the booking amount. Buyers can pre-order by visiting the company website. The Company will be delivered the Simple One  e- scooter to its buyers in January 2022 as per companies schedule. After Simple One Booking buyer can change colour combination of the e-scooter 3 times.

 

Ex-showroom Price of Simple One e-scooter in Bengaluru at Rs.1,09,999 (including latest FAME-II subsidies), it may differ from state to state due to Government subsidy on e-vehicles. Somewhere price will be high or somewhere less.

Simple One e-scooter seems better on paper, and it is cheaper than OLA S1 Pro with more range and good acceleration. The company unveiled its one variant with four colours like Brazen Black, Namma Red, Azure Blue, and Grace White. As per the expert’s opinion, the Simple e-scooter maybe give tough competition to OLA, if it is available in the market before its selling scheduled month.
